Under the general supervision of the Manager, assist and coordinate the process to release escrow money pursuant to a release agreement or other acceptable form of documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Reviews each release agreement or other documentation received as a result of the nullification of a sales contract and disburses escrow money efficiently and in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the handling of escrow money while complying with all applicable practices, standards, policies and procedures.
• Consults with the Legal department when needed to assist in determining proper disposition of funds involving questionable/problem releases or lack thereof.
• Reviews and approves releases, excess packages, wires and journal entries ensuring their accuracy.
• Cross-trains on positions in Pre-Settlement to have a thorough understanding of all processes and internal controls.
• Completes bank reconciliations as assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Accounting/Finance is requirement.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Deadline oriented, attention to detail, time management and good communication skills is required.
• Preferred experience with Great Plains.
