Clinical Director

Requirements:

  • A current Texas license Resisted Nurse, holding license in good standing for a minimum of two
  • At least two years' experience in a setting-providing trauma informed, strength­ based treatment and assessment for seriously emotionally disturbed adults, children and/or adolescents.
  • Knowledge and experience in service provision, charting, billing and utilization
  • Residential treatment and supervisory experience in a cutting edge

and high impact organization strongly preferred.

  • Must be 21 years old.

General Function:

  • With confidence and composure, manages by setting priorities and directs a highly motivated treatment teams with a strong communication system.
  • Assures environments where foster youth feel nurtured and safe.
  • Ensures treatment models incorporate the best theory and practice available to meet the psych-social needs of the clients and their families.
  • Works closely with the treatment team and placement agencies to coordinate all aspects of treatment for each
  • Committed to system change and foster care system re-design, including full transparency regarding positive treatment outcomes.
  • Responsible for liaisons with community stakeholders which may include placement workers, schools, medical personnel, employment resources, County officials, and other team members.
  • Attends clinical conferences, treatment team meetings, and at times meetings and court appointments.
  • Encourage staff creativity and promote a working environment where learning is
  • Comfortable in treatment settings that mesh highly educated and experienced mental health professionals with paraprofessional counselors.
  • Provides supervision to Case Workers, Coordinators and paraprofessional staff and foster parents in a culturally diverse program.
  • Assists Program Director/Executive Director in other clinical support and supervisory duties as

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the intake of children into Lonestar care. Responsible for maintaining on-going liaison with county workers, probation officers, county mental health workers, and legal guardians regarding each client's progress in the program, with special emphasis on the development of successful discharge plans. Review Medical Records and maintaining compliance with written physicians’
  • In concert with the Executive Director, supervises Residential Supervisors regarding all operations of the residential facility, including facility management and supervision of Residential Counselors. Monitors the implantation of the child's service plan and document clearly the outcomes for interventions used in childcare. In concert with the Program Director, supervise all aspects of the Clinical
  • Attends senior staff meetings with the Executive Director and Program
  • Provides training for staff to enrich and enhance their job performance
  • Provides clinical supervision to Clinical Supervisors, interns, newly licensed or paraprofessional mental health providers when necessary.
  • Oversees clinical treatment plans and clinical documentation including billing and progress notes in accordance with
  • Advises the Residential Supervisors and Clinical Supervisors in the staffing and training of counselors, family partners, and youth advocates.
  • Consults on the development of treatment plans, in coordination with treatment team and program clinicians. Responsible for implementation of treatment plans in all three
  • Analyzes and interprets professional mental health reports and evaluations. Writes clearly and concisely using professional mental health conventions and

  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the educational services of the treatment
  • Responsible for handling the essential duties of Residential and Clinical Supervisors' positions during vacations, sick leave or any other authorized leave of absence (time sheets, petty cash, maintenance emergencies, )
  • Lead service planning process for child's care including delegation of tasks or exemption from RN delegations in compliance to 22 Texas Administrative Code, Chapters 224 and 225 of the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • On occasion, attends or leads community
