The Loan Administrator is responsible for providing day to day assistance to internal and external customers regarding loan servicing. Responsibilities include processing and preparing Commercial & Consumer loan documents, funding and booking all loans, processing construction draws and credit line advances, reviewing loan documents, balance daily and weekly internal loan accounts, monitor/maintain exceptions, process loan payments and incoming and outgoing participation remittance.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of financial institution experience and 3 years of customer contact experience.
  • Keyboard 35 wpm accurately, 10 Key, PC proficiency, working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Must be detail-oriented, reliable and able to work under pressure and possess exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Math or related field. 6 years of financial institution experience and 4 years back office or clerical experience. Intermediate user in Microsoft Suite. Experience in CSI NuPoint and LaserPro Loan Platform.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Book new loans, modifications, extensions, and renewals.
  • Prepare Commercial & Consumer loan documents using LaserPro Loan Platform.
  • Process payments, draws, advances and modifications on Participation Sold and Purchased.
  • Processes various loan servicing requests such as change of addresses or providing loan histories or billing notices.
  • Verify new loan input as per loan presentation approvals.
  • Track declinations and withdrawn loans.
  • Review credit report activity report and reconcile to approved, declined, withdrawn or in process loans or transactions.
  • Scan documents pertaining to loans.
  • Reconcile various internal accounts and GL’s.
  • Process paid loans and release collateral.
  • Maintain collateral exception logs.
  • Review E-Oscar notifications.
  • Research subpoenas and loan errors.
  • Answer telephones and assist customers.
  • Perform vault audits for safekeeping collateral.
  • Conduct flood review audits on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with other functions and special projects when required.
  • Verify all types of insurance that are in place for all types of loans, commercial, consumer and mortgage.
  • Activate force place flood or hazard insurance for mortgage loans that are lacking proper coverage.
  • Work Loan Administration email inbox.
  • Apply payment in accordance with Bankruptcy terms.
  • Settting up Lereta contracts and track property taxes due for all real estate loans.
  • Placing loans on charge off and non-accrual status and apply payments in accordance with bank policy and GAAP accounting methods.
  • Review daily loan maintenance to ensure changes are valid.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • The employee is constantly (66%-100%) required to sit, type or write, finger dexterity, see detail and close vision, see beyond arm’s length and speak clearly in order to communicate effectively.
  • The employee is frequently (33%-66%) required to bend, stoop or squat, lift up to 20 pounds, and hear clearly in order to communicate effectively.
  • The employee is occasionally (1%-33%) required to stand, walk, push or pull, reach above shoulders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in confined spaces.
  • The employee is rarely (less than 1%) required to climb stairs, lie down, climb ladders, grasp or grip, drive or operate equipment, work outdoors, exposed to fumes, chemicals, solvents, etc., and exposed to extreme temperatures.
