Logistics Management Institute is Hiring a Software Test SME - Clearance Required Near Fort Belvoir, VA

Overview

Seeking a Software Test Manager for a U.S. Army client to support an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization program, the Enterprise Business System – Convergence (EBS-C). The Software Test Manager will coordinate with Army test agencies, develop testing strategies, identify test scenarios, and monitor test results to ensure the system integrator identifies, manages, and mitigates risks for this major Defense Business System Modernization effort by establishing and maintaining effective test practices.

Work location is client site, Fort Belvoir, VA. Note: Telework is acceptable under current government directed COVID measures. Upon amendment of those measures, liberal telework will be acceptable with occasional requirements to visit client offices at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Responsibilities

The candidate will work with the LMI Program Management Office team, the government, and commercial system integrators to coordinate testing of a cloud-based converged, composable system.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a test and evaluation strategy.
  • Coordinate activities with Army test organizations, the EBS-C program staff, the functional community, and the lead system integrator.
  • Oversee integrator testing to ensure that products conform to established performance, quality, policy, and standards.
  • Conducts test document reviews to ensure test completeness.
  • Creates and contributes to test plans and participates in the planning process to support the testing phase.
  • Assist in the definition and documentation of Epic/Feature risks and define appropriate testing response.
  • Assist trading partner coordinator in identifying appropriate test cycles, rehearsal of concept drills, test development, and test execution.
  • Assist in overseeing test automation execution for applications being built in a continuous integration environment.
  • Oversee the implementation of automation best practices and standards and procedures within an Agile framework. 
  • Actively participate in agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify software testing inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in overseeing the design of test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents and specifications.
  • Review and recommend remedial actions based on test results.
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Interface with program staff to ensure requirements are met.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of professional experience with an emphasis on software test automation including test framework design, development, requirements development, user testing, and maintenance/support.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition testing such as developing test plans and strategies.
  • Understanding of DoDI 5000.87, 5000.89, DA PAM 73-1: Test and Evaluation in Support of Systems Acquisition, and other government test policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of an agile development team.
  • Familiar with use of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile methods.
  • Development experience within an agile environment.

  • Knowledge of automation concepts, agile testing frameworks & best practices from industry in automating web applications.
  • Have and maintain a government Secret security clearance.

Desired

  • Experience managing other testers.
  • Experience in DoD projects.
  • Experience in DevSecOps.
  • Experience with cross domain solutions and testing of access and transfer of information between two or more security domains.
  • Experience with testing cloud-based systems.
  • Experience with more than one automated test framework/toolset (e.g., ALM, Tricentis, Selenium, etc.)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment/ Continuous Testing (CI/CD/CT)
