Overview

LMI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a U.S. Federal Government Agency working with classified media. This position will work with a team of developers, architects, and data scientists to build new capabilities for our client, bringing innovative ideas to challenging and complex problems. The Senior Systems Engineer will support a client office working on artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). The Senior Systems Engineer will have a strong background in technology, strong experience with AI/ML and a strong understanding of general systems engineering applications, and hold a strategic view for how to present results to customers. This position will be responsible for presenting and explaining complex results to users. Responsibilities

• Managing software resources across the client's office
• Expertise in high-power computing (expertise is client’s scientific computing network - nice to have)
• Experience in how machine learning flows
• Experience with general aspects of systems engineering
• Experience managing infrastructure needed for AI/ML and other software programs
• Does not require LLM expertise

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience using and managing software and data sources from industry, academia, the IC, the military, and/ or the scientific community. 
• 5 years of experience discovering, organizing, and structuring data and applying advanced analytic techniques, such as mathematical modeling, geospatial analysis, and applications of graph theory. 
• 3 years of experience using Python, R, or other coding languages and developing and evaluating algorithms and methods. 
• Experience in systems engineering with a focus on managing AI/ML programs and their systems. 
• Experience with data manipulation, analytic papers or report writing, and subject matter briefing(s), slides and graphic products. 
• Requires intelligence community (IC) experience
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
