```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for constructing and installing cabinets and other wooden furniture. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and proficiency in various woodworking techniques. If you have a passion for craftsmanship and enjoy working with your hands, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Construct and assemble cabinets, tables, and other wooden furniture according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Measure, cut, shape, and smooth wood using hand tools and power tools
- Install cabinets in residential or commercial spaces
- Repair or restore damaged cabinets or furniture
- Collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficiency in cabinet making techniques such as joinery, sanding, staining, and finishing
- Knowledge of different types of wood materials and their characteristics
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during construction or installation
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions (e.g., kneeling, standing)
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of stud framing for cabinet installation is a plus
