LOFT is looking for a Sales Associate to join our team in Canton, CT. We are a family-owned, full-service retail and wholesale distribution store. We are currently looking for a full-time sales associate to provide excellent customer service and to meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales goals by actively seeking out new business in the community
• Maintain current literature in good condition and conduct effective door to door sales
• Ensure that all customers who come into the store to purchase products are greeted in person and on the phone
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests for products and services
• Provide accurate, professional and timely customer service through all interactions
• Act as a brand ambassador by promoting LOFT products and services
• Comply with all applicable laws regarding sales, inventory, credit practices, etc.
• Conduct price comparisons and other price/value comparisons with customers to ensure they are satisfied with product selection, quality of service, pricing and stock availability
• Prepare quotations for orders placed via internet or phone using company provided materials
• Prepare delivery orders for wholesale customers as well as retail customers using company provided trucks/tractors
• Conduct returns when necessary or requested by customer. Assist in returning merchandise to warehouses when necessary.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of store including sweeping/mopping/vacuuming floors. Maintains a neat and orderly appearance at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Previous experience in retail sales is preferred. Must be willing to learn new skills such as online shopping, website design, inventory control, shipping and receiving, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
