Position Description
Construction Laborer
**Positions available in Ann Arbor and Heartland**
Primary Function:
The Construction Laborer will assist the Project Manager and the hired trades in completing the building of new projects. The construction laborer will follow all rules and guidelines set forth by Lockwood Construction.
Typical Duties:
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Assist with loading or unloading building materials to be used in construction.
- Assist construction trades workers with projects.
- Ensure the jobsite is ready for the subcontractors to proceed with their work.
- Assist in punchout work until job completion.
- Additional assignments per your supervisor.
- Maintain open lines of communication.
Skills and knowledge necessary for satisfactory performance include but are not limited to:
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
