Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of our patients.
Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with any necessary procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Provide patient education on medication usage, diet, exercise, and other healthcare topics
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Provide wound care and dressing changes
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Perform Prior Authorizations and Referrals as necessary for continuation of patient care
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
Skills:
- Previous experience as an LPN in an outpatient setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with documenting and working in an EHR
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in medical office procedures and protocols
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in NM
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
