As an Estimator Coordinator at Locke Solutions, you will play a vital role in supporting our estimating team by coordinating and facilitating the bid preparation process for construction projects. Your responsibilities will include gathering project information, conducting quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes from subcontractors and vendors, and preparing bid documents. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage bid board with new and updated information daily.
• Qualify projects to quote based on established criteria for the estimating team and sales leads.
• Foster relationships with key vendors, customers, and subcontractors.
• Learn product knowledge and application process.
• Actively participate in safety program and complete safety trainings.
• Assist in preparing quote estimates within /- 1% of the final cost by the requested date.
• Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
• Look for new qualified quote opportunities with Bid Services.
• Gather Plan Holder list and pre-bid documents needed pertaining to projects.
• Utilize Titan to Update Job Information, research materials and obtain vendor pricing.
• Assist in bid packages, collecting quotes from vendors and suppliers.
• Qualify bids with Senior Estimator.
• Create and submit estimate reports to appropriate persons (Project Team, Customers, etc.).
• Manage quotes from suppliers and vendors.

SUCCESSFUL RESULTS:

• Efficiently organizes documents required to quote projects for the estimating team.
• Actively engage in blueprint review sessions and seek opportunities to expand knowledge.
• Maintain open lines of communication with the Sales team and provide timely updates on project statuses.
• Efficiently perform potential project take-offs by using construction drawings, specifications, and project-related documents.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced construction environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Comfortable with numbers and technology.
• Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Great attention to detail, well organized, and reliable.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or relevant field (desired).
• 1-3 years estimating experience (desired).
