Lochmueller Group is Hiring a Sr. Project Engineer / Project Manager - Water Resources Near Evansville, IN

We are looking for a talented and experienced Civil Engineering professional to join our Water Resources team. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with substantial experience working on wastewater, drinking water and/or storm water projects.

Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

In this position the candidate will:

  • Work as a project engineer and/or project manager with responsibility for wastewater, drinking water, and storm water projects.
  • May supervise work groups which including engineers and/or technicians.
  • Plans, schedules, or coordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple projects.
  • Lead and mentor junior-level engineers and other team members to aid in their development.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, building new opportunities for business development.
  • Assist with building a broader base of clients and projects in the local area.
  • QA/QC of other project designs, documents and deliverables to the client.
  • Ensure project designs are in conformance with the latest design specifications.
  • Perform design quantity computations and checks.
  • Apply a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State, and local rules and regulations.
  • Review operational practices to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.
  • Apply knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
  • Serve as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods.
  • Understand and work with surveying data provided from survey department.
  • Read and interpret schematic and construction plans.
  • Complete other duties as needed.
Qualifications for this role:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 15 years of experience in this discipline
  • Extensive experience managing and designing wastewater, drinking water, and/or storm water projects
  • Experience with project management and accounting software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
