We are looking for an experienced professional engineer to join our Roadway/Highway design team in Central Illinois. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

In this position, the candidate will:

• Serve as a project manager on roadway design projects with varying levels of complexity and scope.
• Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Maintain effective and timely communication with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Take a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation.
• Review and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Manage project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Delegate work to project team members.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis and design tasks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Review complete project documents, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Assists upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
• May perform other duties associated with this role.

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Advanced project management and leadership skills.
• Commitment to excellence in quality and service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
