Audit Clerk Job Description
Job Summary

The Audit Clerk is responsible for the daily audit of various casino gaming and/or non-gaming operating departments. The Audit Clerk reports to the Audit Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and auditing paperwork of previous day's activities in various areas of casino operations. Responsible for verifying and completing reports associated with the daily audits of Slots, Cage, Count Room, F&B, and Promotions
· Responsible for verifying accuracy and correctness of figures, calculations and postings of all recorded transactions against original documents.
· Reconciles reports to supporting documents in accordance with established internal gaming controls, as outlined on daily/weekly/monthly/annual checklists.
· Issues Exception Reports for any instances of non-compliance with established internal controls.
· Coordinates with the lead Audit Supervisor concerning revenue discrepancies and proposed adjustments to be made to correct the same.
· Prepares journal entries to record daily activity, as appropriate.
· Compiles all reports pertaining to the daily audit operations and distributes/saves in accordance with the distribution list/policy.
· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform external audits.
· Maintains complete audit records in an organized manner for proper record retention as per company policy.
· Files all documents and computer reports for future reference.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Required to work weekends; however, will have two consecutive days off.
· Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products or similar software.
· Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
· Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Associates’ Degree in Finance or Accounting-related field strongly preferred.
