LMS is a leading CNC machine shop that works with top companies across the USA. We are looking for a friendly and motivated entry-level associate to join our team and help with shipping and receiving, quality control, and general shop tasks.

Job Overview:

As an entry-level shop associate, you will gain hands-on experience in a CNC machine shop and work alongside skilled machinists. This position offers a great opportunity to learn about the industry and contribute to our team’s success.

Responsibilities:

Daily Shop Tasks:

• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools
• Manage wood, metal, and other materials
• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance
• Assist in deburring parts
• Cut materials with hand tools and saws
• Collect scrap and keep the shop tidy
• Always adhere to shop safety standards
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management
• Use the company truck for pickups and deliveries (valid driver’s license and clean driving record required)

Shipping & Receiving:

• Receive all packages and materials
• Package and box all outgoing shipments
• Make shipping crates and boxes
• Create shipping paperwork
• Deliver parts to customers or post (ability to lift 25 pounds required)

Quality Control:

• Use CNC machining inspection equipment (training provided)
• Inspect first article parts and compare them with blueprints
• Perform in-process and final inspections
• Draft inspection documentation

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow multiple instructions
• Basic knowledge of measuring tools
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• No experience required, but 1-2 years of related experience or training is a plus

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to climb, stoop, and kneel
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and color vision

Work Environment:

• You will be near and around moving mechanical parts, vibration, wet conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals
• Noise level can be loud at times

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
