LMR Technical Group is Hiring a SharePoint Administrator Near Baltimore, MD

Position Summary: LMR is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to join our team. 

Location: Baltimore, MD. This candidate will initially report onsite and may later be approved for a hybrid of remote and onsite work. The candidate must be available for onsite work if required.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate shall provide development and maintenance services in support of the USCG’s SharePoint-based PACT Tool.
  • Provide administrative support for governance meetings led or directly supported by Surface Acquisitions Logistics Center (SALC) personnel, as required. This includes the following tasks and tasks of a similar nature, developing dashboards, read-ahead, agendas, meeting minute note-taking, and managing attendance and email distribution lists.
  • Provide general IT support related to the SALC Share Point site.
  • Support the SALC in coordinating and facilitating weekly status reports. Present the status of planned tasks, update the project management system (MS Project, SharePoint, and USCG Portal) to reflect the current status, and identify tasks that are at risk for successful completion. Prepare action items for review and approval by the APO.
  • Provide administration of workflows.
  • Provide data analytics, and process documentation.
  • Support SALC as required in the development and support of dashboards, metrics, briefings, and reports to meet leadership and stakeholder requirements.
  • Evaluate SALC projects for standardizations and compliance of established practices, providing recommendations to the SALC monthly.
  • Analyze and document technical options for implementing a user-friendly SharePoint site, to include the evaluation of current SharePoint capabilities as well as other applications within the USCG environment. This will include analyzing USCG infrastructure, network, security, and other technical requirements needed to implement and host the platform.
  • Support the implementation of a re-designed user interface, using SharePoint Designer, HTML, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

  • Excellent communication skills, technical writing skills, solid presentation skills, problem-solving skills, strong analytical skills, customer service skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Also, must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013 platforms.
  • Must have a good understanding of SharePoint Server.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize business requirements into system functionality within the SharePoint framework.
  • Experience with SharePoint configuration through the web UI.
  • Experience in the implementation of SharePoint collaboration tools (forums/issue lists, document/form libraries, etc.) and the ability to seamlessly integrate with other Microsoft tools.
  • SharePoint specific required skills; customizing web parts and web part pages; creating sites, document libraries, lists and views; search and taxonomies.
  • Experience with SharePoint branding to include creating and editing graphics, master pages, Hsecurity, instrumentation, exception handling, SharePoint branding and support of large, complex, or enterprise-wide solutions.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of SharePoint experience is required.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Application Development certification is desirable.
  • SharePoint Administrator certification is desirable.
  • SQL experience, preferable MS SQL, is desirable.
