Position: Landscape Designer

Location: Lexington, KY

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs, preferences, and budgetary considerations.
• Create innovative and aesthetically pleasing landscape designs using CAD software, hand sketches, and 3D renderings.
• Develop comprehensive landscape plans, including plant selections, hardscape elements, irrigation systems, and lighting designs.
• Prepare detailed project estimates, material lists, and installation schedules for client approval.
• Coordinate with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Conduct site visits, assess site conditions, and make recommendations for site improvements and enhancements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and sustainable landscaping techniques.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and vendors throughout the design and installation process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Landscape Designer, preferably in a high-end residential or commercial setting.
• Proficiency in landscape design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of plant materials, hardscape materials, irrigation systems, and outdoor lighting.
• Creative flair, attention to detail, and ability to translate client visions into compelling designs.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
