A candidate with experience, medical insurance knowledge and great customer service is exactly what we are seeking! This full-time position takes place in a busy sleep medicine practice in Woodbridge, VA.

General Medical Receptionist responsibilities include:

• Greeting patients as they arrive at the office
• Confirming insurance eligibility
• Answering the phones and sending messages through the office electronic medical record
• Collecting co-pays and other patient payments
• Scheduling appointments
• Checking benefits for office procedures and surgeries
• Keeping the reception area clean and organized
• Contacting insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims
• Sending out patient invoices and other patient correspondence

Job Requirements:

• Must possess exceptional customer service skills
• Must be able to work independently and on a team
• Must have problem solving skills
• EMR experience preferred (Pulse and/or ECW)
• Professional demeanor
• Bi-lingual not required but a plus
