Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator Mechanic to join our clients team in Kinston, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining various types of machinery, including but not limited to CNC machines, extrusion, lathes, mills, and grinders. The Machine Operator Mechanic will be responsible for setting up and operating machines, troubleshooting any mechanical issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure they are running at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor various types of machinery, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders

- Set up machines according to specifications and ensure they are running at optimal levels

- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that may arise during production

- Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure they are running efficiently

- Communicate with production team to ensure machines are running smoothly and any issues are addressed promptly

- Keep accurate records of machine maintenance and repairs

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery

- Continuously look for ways to improve machine performance and efficiency

- Train and mentor new machine operators as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining machinery in a manufacturing setting

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

- Knowledge of CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other various machines

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
