Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a strong team of AV staff through training, coaching, and performance management.
Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all events and projects.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
Ensure all equipment is in working order and properly maintained
Collaborate with event organizers and presenters to determine audiovisual needs
Stay up-to-date with the latest audiovisual technology trends and advancements
Staff Development:
Identify training needs
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Implement strategies to enhance technical skills, customer service, and overall job performance.
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continuously improve staff capabilities and service offerings.
Labor Scheduling and Coordination:
Collaborate with the Director to develop labor schedules based on project requirements and staffing availability.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth transitions and efficient use of resources during gear transfers.
Monitor labor expenses and optimize staffing levels to meet budgetary goals.
Act as a liaison between clients, event planners, and internal teams to address any staffing-related concerns or issues.
Gear Transfers and Inventory Management:
Assist in coordinating the transfer of audiovisual equipment between different venues and events.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all equipment is properly accounted for and in good working condition.
Work closely with the operations team to streamline gear logistics and minimize downtime between setups.
Customer Service
Strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers
Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication
Meets with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly
Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day
Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship
Handles equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.

Work Environment
Hotel:
Work is performed in a hotel environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by HAVS based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area.
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree is preferred.
2-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
2-4 years of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment is preferred.
Expected hours: 30 – 55 per week
