The Shift Leader is responsible for helping to ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly and maintaining quality controls for cleanliness while learning the business of restaurant management through on the job training.
• Manages the Opening Checklist and ensures that the store is prepared for the day.
• Provides support to the Manager-on-Duty (MOD)
• Acts as shift leader and leads all staff working the front door and dining areas (FOH) or leads kitchen (HOH)
• Ensures proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Ensures the safety of employees & guests at all times
• Upholds all company values and service standards at all times
• Assists with conducting pre-shift huddles
• Conducts table visits to ensure guest satisfaction throughout the shift
• Handles guest complaints and communicates problems to the MOD
• Communicates effectively with staff, guests, and other members of management
• Manages the Closing Checklist and ensures that all employees are checked out, the store is fully cleaned, preparations are complete for the next day’s shift, and the building is safe and secured.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or requested
