Cleaning Technician- Job Description

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Full cleaning of all surfaces in assigned area: sweeping and mopping floors, trash disposal, spotting/wiping/ scrubbing of multiple surfaces, interior and exterior window cleaning, and interior and exterior door cleaning.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, and corridors.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all furniture, fixtures, paneling, windowsills and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Damp wipe and polish all stainless steel and glass surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, to include doors, door frames, around light switches, telephones, private entrance glass and partitions.
• Dust all picture frames, charts, graphs, and similar wall hanging items.
• Damp dust all ceiling air conditioning diffusers/ vents, wall grilles, register and other ventilating louvers.
• Understand and follow the company’s policy on safety.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use fingers, handle, feel, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste and smell.
• Lift or exert force up to 50 lbs.
• Carry basket of cleaning supplies, vacuum, and miscellaneous equipment.
• Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to supervisor
• Work with a team of other housekeepers.
• Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift.
• Maintain a positive relationship with employees and clients.
• Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Report, turn in and log all lost and found items.
• Clean upholstered furniture
• Perform detailed deep cleans when scheduled or required.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• At least 2 years of experience with corporate housekeeping
• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Excellent working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agents
• Organized and pays attention to detail.
• Physical strength and stamina to work extended periods.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 30 per week
