As a Crush Crew team member you will be responsible for vehicle preparation for scrap metal crushing. In addition you will also be responsible for following all safety adherence and maintaining support and assistance to operators. Essential Job Duties:

Job Requirements:

Ability To: Work closely with Loader Operator to maximize processing of vehicles to be crushed, safely & efficiently.

Experience: Must have some hands-on automotive repair experience.

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic knowledge of crusher operation; ability to safely remove fuel tanks, wire harnesses and auto part cores

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently. Subject to intense physical labor and repetitive lifting. Must be able to lift at least 75lbs. Must be able to work outside in various types of weather. Works with hydraulic oils, motor oils, antifreeze, and diesel fuels.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous salvage operation employment

Decision Making Examples: Ensure a safe environment for all, avoiding slip & trip hazards. Make sure all tools & equipment are secured at end of shift. Immediately report any safety or environmental hazards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions.
