Brief description

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our team. This self-starter will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks for Quality Assurance and Quality Control related to FDA 21 CFR Part 111 current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), DSHEA, and other applicable regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• · Responsible for demonstrating knowledge of and following Quality procedures including but not limited to Change Control, Document Control, Good Documentation Practices, Records and Recordkeeping, Employee Hygiene, Visitor Policy, Physical Plant and Grounds, Finished Product Storage and Distribution, Investigations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• · Performs a variety of key tasks including but not limited to Certificate of Analysis Verification, Finished Product Testing, Finished Product Review and Disposition, Finished Product Destruction, Returned Products, Customer Product Complaints, Adverse Event Reports, Product Label Review and Disposition, Reserve Samples, Receiving Finished Product and Shelf-life Verification.
• · Responsible for overall facility and equipment sanitation and maintenance.
• · Responsible for overseeing the facility’s pest management program, including the contracted Pest Control service.
• · Responsible for assisting in Product Recalls, Audits, and Inspections as necessary.
• · Assists in maintaining and updating cartons and foils for LivOn products as needed.
• · Work with international agencies and attorneys on quality-related issues as needed.

Qualifications and requirements

• · Associate degree or equivalent experience
• · 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control
• · Working knowledge of current Food or Dietary Supplement Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• · Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• · Strong written and verbal communication skills
• · Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision, and make decisions.
• · Ability to work as part of a team
• · Ability to multi-task
• · Intermediate-level user of Microsoft Word and Excel
• · Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
• · Must be able to work at a computer for 85% of an 8-hour work schedule

Working conditions

• Full time position, 40 hours per week and on occasion willing to work overtime.
• May be noisy and varying degrees of temperature.
• Must comply with LivOn's Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
