Livingston County Community Mental Health is Hiring an Intake Clinician I or II Near Ann Arbor, MI

Salary Information:

Intake Clinician I: $54,408.71 - $62,266.51 annual salary based on experience.

Intake Clinician II $56,815.25 - $65,327.49 annual salary based on experience.

Role:

Under the supervision of the Mental Health Program Director and Program Coordinator, the regular full-time Intake Clinician will work as part of a team of professionals to assist individuals of all ages in accessing urgent, emergent, and routine mental health services for those with Severe Mental Illness, Severe Emotional Disturbance, and Developmental/Intellectual disabilities.

Requirements to join us:

Prior experience in working with persons with Serious Mental Illness, Serious Emotional Disturbance, and Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities and experience in providing crisis intervention preferred. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with time-limited deadlines for documentation. Must be proficient with electronic communication and able to work with an electronic medical record.

Provides office and community-based assessments to determine eligibility for CMH services as well as substance abuse screenings, referrals, and authorizations. Provides crisis intervention as needed and pre-screens for in-patient psychiatric hospitalizations. Utilizes the DSM-5, ASAM, LOCUS, Columbia and CAFAS/PECFAS tools in daily work.

Job-Specific Requirements:

Education: Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Training in bio-psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention.

If degree is in Social Work, must be Michigan Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Social Worker (LLMSW) with the intent and ability to obtain a LMSW within two years of hire.

If degree is in Counseling, must be a Michigan Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) with the intent and ability to obtain a LPC within two years of hire.

If degree is in Psychology, must be a Michigan Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) or Michigan Licensed Psychologist (LP) or Michigan Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP) with the intent and ability to obtain a LLP within two years of hire.
