Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. MCA has an opening for an elementary innovation teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The innovation teacher should have a propensity for technology and a desire to teach intro to robotics, engineering, coding, and cublets at the elementary level. Essential Duties

• Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; models a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech, and actions
• Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements/standards of state and school and submits weekly to principal
• Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to class.
• Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results.
• Assigns lessons, homework, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations
• Teaches rules of conduct
• Maintains order in classroom and in auxiliary spaces on campus as well as off-site school-sponsored activities
• Counsels students when academic and/or behavioral problems arise
• Discusses students' academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents
• Keeps attendance and grade records as required by the school.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Education

Desired License: Minnesota state teaching license in K-5 or 8 Education
