Living Ecology-INW is Hiring a Maintenance Tech - 2nd shift Near Corona, CA

Living Ecology is seeking a Maintenance Technician with food manufacturing or nutraceutical industry experience. This position is in our Corona, CA location.

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Maintenance Tech will also manage building maintenance well. This will be 2nd shift 2:30 p.m.-11 pm.

Responsibilities:

· Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.

· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

· Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

· Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

· Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.

· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

· Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

· Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

· Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

· Maintain clean and orderly work areas

· Responsible for always following all FDA & GMP’s regulatory requirements and guidelines.

· Responsible for following ALL Plant Safety Rules and OSHA Rules: understand and follow plant safety rules including/but not limited to safe lifting practices, safety on machine operations.

Education, Work Experience, Skill Requirements & Certifications:

*High School Graduate or GED equivalent, technical educational background ideal

*Prior food or neutraceutical industry experience required.

*Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.

*Understands and reads schematic drawings

*4 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC. Proven experience working with robotics, pneumatics, electrical, etc.

·Skills Required:

· Excellent communication, written and grammatical skills.

· Ability to read, speak and write in English

  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) plant safety and OSHA requirements
  • Proven success with working in a team environment.

· Additional Information

· Exposure to food allergens, wheat, nuts, coconut, soy products

· May work additional overtime including weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
