Livewell Animal Hospital at the Grove is Hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Near Edmond, OK

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join the new state-of-the-art Livewell Animal Hospital at the Grove!

Registered Veterinary Technician Role Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
  • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology
  • Weekdays plus 2-3 Saturdays per month. 8am- 6pm M-F and 8am-4pm Saturday.

Registered Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

  • Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms.
  • Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
  • Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members.
  • Nursing skills including restraining patients, administering medications. PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Competently perform dental prophylaxis
