Position Summary:
Responsible for executing the administrative functions and provide circuit technical knowledge to enable the area to meet safety, quality, and production goals. Serve as a thread of continuity or bridge between different shifts to assure actions and plans are followed through to meet production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with operators to capture and document best practices and SOPS
  • Coordinate training and development activities for area staff
  • Capture and report production data and KPI’s
  • Organize and prepare work permits for operators for scheduled area work
  • Document MOC
  • Accountable to utilize technical knowledge to help shift supervisor and engineer troubleshoot process issues.
  • Accountable for SAP activity – back flushing batches and confirming raw materials
  • Responsible for all updates, modifications, and writing new Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring SOPs are current
  • Responsible to initiate and/or approve MOC requests to include action items, training, PSSR’s, etc.
  • Accountable for initiating incident investigations, investigates incidents or near misses, identifies root cause, reports findings and implements action required to close events or action items in SIMS system.
  • Responsible for tracking, developing, and addressing CPAR’s and customer complaints, involving assigned areas to include action items
  • Responsible to assists the area manager as needed in implementing action items generated from area process hazard analyses
  • Responsible for assisting engineering in assembling information for Process Safety Information
  • Responsible to track non-conforming inventory and documents action plans.
  • Responsible to participate in Quality System Audits and ensures Area’s compliance
  • Responsible to assist as needed to complete applicable permits and job walkdowns for Maintenance and Contractor work (i.e. Lockout/Tagout, Safe Work, Confined Space Entry, Line Break, etc.)
  • Responsible to have the ability to flex to any production position as needed to back fill

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Livent process manufacturing

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • OM1 level is required in designated department (Battery or Metal Bldg/CL2)
  • Plans, schedules, and leads team meetings and training sessions when needed.
  • Ability to operate all aspects of the Battery Metals and or Metal Bldg/ CL2 processes and has the ability to assist more than one circuit/plant at a time when required.
  • Uses logic and appropriate methods to successfully troubleshoot and solve difficult problems
  • Uses the computer to accurately enter information and data into FMC business systems (LQM, SAP, Hang Tag, SIMS, MOC, CPAR, OEE database, BMScale)
  • Uses effective oral and written communication
  • Uses MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and VMX to communicate all work instructions, circuit and order statuses
  • Writes Notifications as needed for breakdowns and circuit needs on-shift
  • Follows policies and procedures; work with integrity and ethically

Work Environment:

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
