Caregiver/Companion at Live Long Well Care (Carmel, Indiana)

Job Type: Part-Time 1st (6am-3pm) and 2nd shift (3pm-10pm)

Qualifications:

·CPR Qualification (preferred)

·Valid Driver’s License (required)

·Reliable transportation

·Pass a background and drug screening

·Must possess a smartphone with internet capability

·High school diploma or GED (required)

·Must be able to work 2 weekends a month

Our trained, skilled, and compassionate team of care providers are dedicated to providing top quality services. We enable our clients to improve their current level of independence by creating Personalized Service Plans for each client that are tailored to their individual requests, catered to fit their schedule, and designed to handle those difficult or undesirable daily tasks. Common daily tasks provided include personal care, companionship, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry assistance, hygiene assistance, medication assistance and/or reminders, transportation, assisting with errands, and assistance with pet care.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represents the company in a positive manner while creating an environment that fosters respect and courtesy for clients and other employees alike.
  • Provide general assistance and care to patient/client in accordance with the non-personal care plan.
  • Plans meals, purchases food and household supplies, and prepares and serves nutritious meals in accordance with the care plan.
  • Works to provide for a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the patient/client and family.
  • Washes dishes, cleans the kitchen after meals, launders clothing, bed linens, and performs other light housekeeping activities in accordance with the care plan.
  • Provides companionship for the patient/client as required.
  • Performs other duties, such as transportation of the independent patient/client when directed by the supervisor.
  • Listens and responds to patient/client needs in a sensitive and timely manner.
  • Maintain a cooperative manner towards patient/client/family members of the healthcare team.
  • Accurate and thoroughly document services provided.
  • Reports to work on time and prepared to assume duties.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and employee information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in response to patient/client, office, and/or facility needs.

Skills:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must conduct all business in a professional manner and with a high level of confidentiality

Experience:

  •  Prior caregiving experience (preferred)
