Primary Responsibilities:

• This position works Monday to Friday from 7:45am to 3:45pm, for 180 contract days per year. Our school is closed for Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break.
• Responsible for providing classroom support under the direct guidance of the classroom teacher in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics in grades 1-5. The teacher assistant pushes into classrooms throughout the day to help support instruction.
• Provide clear and timely communication of achievements and areas to improve to students and their homeroom teachers.
• Work with students, specialists, parents, and administrators to implement individual education plans and academic remediation processes.
• Assist teachers with grading assignments and entering grades in collaboration with the teachers.
• Do assigned duties, such as supervise student lunchroom, supervise recess, carpool duties, and/or clerical work for teachers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least two years experience working with children required.
• Previous experience working in an education setting required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay for this position is $26-$29 per hour. This position is benefits eligible.
