Job Description:
Little Wild Ones Academy is seeking a dedicated Closing Shift Teacher Assistant to join our team. The Closing Shift Teacher Assistant will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during the later hours of the daycare operation. As part of our team, you will assist in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the daycare during closing hours.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise Children: Supervise children in indoor and outdoor activities during closing hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist with Evening Activities: Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, storytime, and games, to promote their physical, social, and cognitive development.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Assist in cleaning and tidying up the daycare facilities, including play areas, classrooms, and restrooms, to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Support Closing Procedures: Assist in closing procedures, including organizing toys and materials, preparing for the next day, and securing the premises.
• Communicate with Parents: Communicate effectively with parents during pickup times, providing updates on their child's activities and any relevant information.
• Collaborate with Team: Work collaboratively with other daycare staff members to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and effective communication regarding children's needs and activities.
• Attend Training Sessions: Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on childcare best practices, safety protocols, and daycare policies.
• Adhere to Safety Regulations: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including those related to hygiene, sanitation, and emergency procedures, to ensure the well-being of children and staff.
• Provide Support to Lead Teacher: Assist the lead teacher as needed in implementing curriculum activities, managing classroom behavior, and addressing any issues that may arise.
• Promote Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore and learn.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.5 – 15 per week
