About the Role:

As a dental assistant at Little Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our young patients. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment room, sterilizing instruments, and passing instruments to the dentist with 4-hand dentistry
- Take and develop dental x-rays, and take intra-oral images as directed by the dentist
- Perform sealants on kids and adolescents
- Take and record accurate patient vital signs
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and performing oral examinations
- Assist with dental charting and documentation in Eaglesoft
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and preventive measures
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Clean and sanitize treatment rooms after each patient visit

To excel in this role, you must possess:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant with active RDA license
- Proficiency in dental software programs such as Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of dental coding for dental procedures
- Familiarity with taking and developing dental x-rays
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
