In the role of STEM Educator for Preschoolers, you will assume responsibility for meticulously crafting and delivering compelling science, technology, engineering, and mathematics lessons tailored specifically to preschool-aged children. This position presents a unique opportunity to instill a profound appreciation for STEM subjects during a crucial stage of a child's developmental journey, all while championing principles of equity and accessibility within the realm of education.

Responsibilities:

• Develop meticulously structured STEM curriculum and lesson plans, ensuring they are age-appropriate, hands-on, interactive, and culturally sensitive.
• Engage preschoolers through captivating activities and experiments designed to nurture their curiosity, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning environment wherein every child feels valued and empowered to explore STEM concepts to their fullest extent.
• Collaborate closely with local preschools, community centers, and organizations serving marginalized communities to effectively deliver STEM education programs.
• Actively engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting STEM education and attracting participants from historically underrepresented groups.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to preschoolers, fostering their burgeoning interest in STEM fields and bolstering their confidence in their own capabilities.
• Assist with various administrative duties, including but not limited to tracking attendance, preparing instructional materials, and assessing program effectiveness.
• Continuously evaluate and adapt teaching strategies to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of preschool-aged children.
• Uphold stringent safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure and supportive environment for all children under your care.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field (e.g., science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, education).
• Demonstrated passion for working with young children and an unwavering commitment to advancing STEM education initiatives.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to effectively engage and connect with both preschool-aged children and their families.
• Proven capacity for creativity and adaptability, enabling you to develop innovative and captivating STEM activities that align seamlessly with preschool curriculum standards.
• Previous experience working with diverse populations and a steadfast dedication to championing principles of equity and inclusion within educational settings.
• Reliability and punctuality, with a proven ability to commit to a consistent schedule of 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
• Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and training relevant to working with children.
