Description

Little Sprouts is seeking an Assistant Director to join our team at our Medford, MA School. Little Sprouts is a network of 39 preschools and early learning centers across New England.

We prioritize employee experience and are closed the week between Christmas and New Year . This offers you a guaranteed week of paid time off upon hire.

The Assistant Director assists in administrative functions and maintaining center operations. The position requires the ability to support the day-to-day operations of a high-quality Early Childhood Education program.

The Assistant Director will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a passion for nurturing children and their families.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Development, or related field Preferred.
  • Lead Infant / Toddler & Preschool Certification Preferred.
  • EEC Director Qualified

Center-based daily / educational operations :

  • Schedule and administer smooth daily opening and closing procedures
  • Oversee all on-site teacher and administrative training
  • Supervise curriculum to meet or exceed the standards of NAEYC’s developmental guidelines, and state education standards
  • Demonstrate a complete mastery of the regulatory environment, including compliance, licensor relationships, and the ability to adapt to regulatory changes.
  • Assist in oversight of school culture and activities
  • Maintain exceptional relationships with enrolled families through excellent verbal and written communication, family events, and positive interactions.
  • Ensure that anti-bias and anti-racism perspectives are evident throughout the school
  • Actively engage children, staff, and families in age-appropriate social-emotional learning
  • Serve as a mandated reporter, and ensure all staff understand their obligations as mandated reporters

Center-based financial management :

  • Assist with weekly scheduling handled in Paylocity
  • Assist as needed with billing, managing and collecting outstanding tuition, voucher renewals, and the ordering of supplies
  • Communicate with families as needed
  • Assist with updating family payment and attendance schedules through company Procare
