Little Sprouts Learning Center is Hiring a Child Care Teacher (Afternoons) Near Scottsville, KY

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Provider to join our team. As a Childcare Provider, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. If you have a passion for working with children and providing quality care, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a teacher for 1:00-6:00 pm each day, with the potential for additional hours.

Must love kids! Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED, pass a background check, child abuse & neglect check, and TB screening. Flexible scheduling and friendly working environment. Employees receive paid time off, paid holidays, and discounted childcare.

Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children
- Foster early childhood development through educational play and interactive experiences
- Promote literacy skills by reading to children and encouraging storytelling
- Ensure proper hygiene practices are followed, including diaper changing and handwashing
- Monitor children's behavior and address any behavioral issues in a positive manner
- Collaborate with parents to understand individual child needs and provide updates on their progress
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a daycare or childcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with age-appropriate educational resources and materials
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.50 - $10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
