Located in the heart of historic downtown Healdsburg, Little Saint is a vibrant meeting place where guests are invited to connect over food, music, art and conversation.

The building is home to exciting live music and thought-provoking conversations, as well as a series of film screenings and performances to benefit local artists and our farming community.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Reporting to the General Manager, the Bartender is a professional, experienced and knowledgeable beverage professional with excellent communication skills.

The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food.

A successful bartender will have a polished appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome customers, assess customer needs and preferences, make recommendations and take food and beverage orders.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare consistent, quality cocktails.
  • Assist in development of drink menus and inform customers about new beverages and specials.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the menu.
  • Prepare all alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
  • Offer creative and innovative cocktail recipes to enhance our program.
  • Maintain a clean work area by removing trash, cleaning the bar, wash glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Check customer identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of beverage experience in a fine dining atmosphere.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
  • Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
  • Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
  • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Excellent financial acumen, math skills and computer proficiency.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours based on business
