Behavior Technician
Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide one-on-one behavioral therapy to children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism
- Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to promote desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Provide support and guidance to clients' families, including training on behavior management strategies
Experience:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and principles
- Knowledge of data collection methods and procedures
- Understanding of special education practices and principles is a plus
