Little Learner Children's Academy is Hiring a Family and Community Engagement Specialist for Daycare Center Near Plainfield, IL
Job Summary:
This person will play a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive environment within our organization. They will help drive the growth of our child care academies. They will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of engagement activities and events to bring together or internal team members and the local community. You must be passionate about early childhood education and possess a strong understanding of marketing strategies tailored to the child care industry as this person will play a pivotal role in promoting our brand, attracting new families, and maintaining strong relationships with our current families and associates. Understanding the importance of solidifying the relationships with our current families is equally as important in bringing in new leads and working with Directors and AD’s/Enrollment Specialists!
Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours. 8:30am-5:30pm with the flexibility to work evening and weekend hours for most events and as required by the owners and Director of Operations. Travel required, locally between our territories. Must collaborate with the schools for event planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (EX: communications, marketing, hospitality)
- Proven experience in event planning and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Creativity and innovative thinking to develop engaging events.
- Familiarity with community engagement and corporate social responsibility concepts.
- Budget management skills.
Working conditions:
- Will be inside and outside depending on event taking place and stipulations. Within this position travel will be a must between all LLCA locations.

About Little Learner Children's Academy
Little Learner Childrens Academy was founded in June 2009 by Melissa and Zarvan, as an in home group daycare out of their home. After gaining experience and education in the child care field and parents themselves, they found many flaws with the way in which the centers were operated, and the enormous cost parents were paying for below average childcare. Melissas goal is to create a safe, loving and nurturing environment that makes parents feel comfortable while they are at work, while ensuring their children are educated and prepared for the future. She also wanted to make sure this could be ...done for the working families of the Channahon/Minooka Community and the surrounding area. In 2014, Melissa and Zarvan decided to take their vision to the next level, and located a building in Channahon IL. She knew by applying the principles she founded during the operation of the in-home group childcare and previous experiences working at childcare centers, she could project the same principles on to a larger group of families, and make an impact on more children and their families. The daycare and preschool facility Little Learner Childrens Academy opened in August of 2014 for children ages 2-5. Parents enjoy the creative environment that is provided and appreciate the quality of care their child is receiving. With the help of wonderful staff, the Channahon childcare center is the place to be. Currently a second location has opened in August 2015 in the Minooka/Channahon area serving children ages infants- 5 years olds and in-progress a Plainfield, IL location will be opening soon.The future of expanding Little Learner Childrens Academy, LLC is very bright and we look forward to expanding in the future.
