Little House Green Grocery is hiring Sales Associates who are ready to work in a retail food environment. This is a part-time position with room for growth.

Little House is a full-service neighborhood grocery with a local food focus. The mission of Little House is to offer wholesome foods, local products, and fresh produce in a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment. It is a small business made up of other small businesses and boasts a variety of products from local vendors. It also carries other well-known national brands with a strong emphasis on clean eating.

One of Little House’s tenants is loving its neighbors well. Sales Associations will play a critical role in meeting the needs of Little House’s customers. Each staff member is asked to help create an environment that offers the highest degree of service to each customer as they help maintain the store image as a positive place to shop.

The sales associate will ensure prompt, friendly, courteous customer service, accurate sales processing, and smooth store operations during designated shifts.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing friendly, consistent, and impeccable customer service by helping customers find products and addressing questions and complaints.
• Checking out customer purchases quickly and accurately, using correct prices.
• Prepping produce, receiving items, stocking shelves, and selling products.
• Opening and closing registers following established procedures.
• Answering and routing phone calls, and taking messages as needed.
• Maintaining the store in clean, orderly condition during shift.
• Positively representing Little House to customers, staff, and vendors.

Required Experience:

• Must be 21 or older
• 1-year minimum related retail or food experience.
• Experience serving the public, handling demands while staying calm.
• An interest in and knowledge of food and dietary trends

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week

Shift:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
