Little Hands Learning Academy is Hiring a Child Care Teacher Near Muskogee, OK

We are looking for experienced teachers to work with our wonderful clients from 3 to 5 years old. Development in the first years of life is vitally important for the child's future and takes knowledgeable individuals to navigate the developmental needs of this age. A early childcare teacher must have a great love and patience for children.

Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and toddler developmental needs as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental, emotional and physical development of the child so they can more easily acclimate through their next years of education.

Responsibilities:

  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact positively with each other
  • Supervise children to ensure children are safe at all times
  • Track children’s progress and report to parents
  • Communicate with parents effectively
  • Good record keeping/documentation skills
  • Daily routine care of children (feeding, diapering, cleaning up after them, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills:

  • Experience in group child care is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
  • Certification in adult/infant/child First Aid and CPR is required within 30 days of employment
  • Be able to pass a fingerprint background check
  • Ability to work well with others as a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18,500.00 - $31,200.00 per year
