Little Green Tree House is an eco-friendly early childhood center, located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Our school serves children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years of age. We are also conveniently located just a few blocks from the red, brown and purple train stations. We are seeking to fill a full-time assistant teacher position. The hours are 9am-6pm Monday through Friday. In this position you will be working with different age groups, which allows teachers to get the most experience in the education field!

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Candidates must have a least one year of experience working with children.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Providing a safe, warm environment where needs of the children are met, and development is fostered.
• Parent communication via face-to-face, phone calls, and emails.
• Meeting & following requirements of Licensing agencies
• Prevents injuries and handles emergencies, accidents, and injuries appropriately when they occur.
• Professional interactions with children, parents and co-workers

COVID-19 Precautions:

• Per DCFS, All Licensed Day Care Center Workers must have: at a minimum, the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
