Little Gem Learning Center LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for one preschool teacher to join our 28 person strong team. We are located on 430 16th Ave Sw. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out a curriculum that targets different areas of child development, such as language, motor, and social skills in accordance with the Iowa Early Learning Standards
- Organize activities so children can learn about the world, explore interests, and develop talents
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Keep records of the students’ progress, routines, and interests, and keep parents informed about their child’s development
- Exceed DHS requirements and keep all training certifications current
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
Qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Must have previous experience in a childcare/preschool setting
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to complete training
