Job Description:
As a Patient Care Technician II you are a key member of the nursing care team and under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist with direct and indirect patient care, and support to patients and health care team members. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will help to provide interventions that are prescribed by the treatment plan. You will share accountability for quality patient outcomes. You may also provide administrative clinical support for their department.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of previous patient care experience required.
• Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred; completed training within six (6) months from date of hire.

Licensure/Certificates:

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, preferred
• Licensed Practical Nurse Certification, preferred
• Current BLS, required.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, required.
• Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent LFH positively in internal and external meetings is required.
• Ability to quickly and independently prioritize and anticipate patient care needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires extensive standing, bending, and walking.
• Ability to push/pull up to 50lbs and lift objects of up to 50lbs is occasionally required.
