Semiconductor Equipment Technician

Reporting to the F&M Manager the Semiconductor Equipment Technician will support the manufacturing of epitaxial wafers in a high volume 100mm 200mm production facility.

This person is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and equipment improvements on epitaxial reactors and support equipment.

About the Job :

  • Work with manufacturing and engineering groups to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues.
  • Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive downs.
  • Monitor and Analyze all related data to improve / maintain tool performance and address issues.
  • Assist the facilities supervisor as requested.
  • Other duties as requested.

About You :

  • Strong preference for an Associate’s degree in electronics or engineering. Must have a HS diploma or GED.
  • Relevant experience working in semiconductor manufacturing or clean room environment required.
  • Willing to work a compressed work schedule that will include nights and weekends required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Basic knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Self-driven and able to identify / resolve priorities to improve fab performance.
  • Skilled in the troubleshooting of electrical / mechanical systems.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor equipment preferred.
  • Mechanical and / or Electrical troubleshooting certification preferred.

Two Available Shifts :

  • B - Sunday through Tuesday, every other Saturday; 6pm - 6am
  • D - Wednesday through Friday, every other Saturday; 6pm - 6am
