Body Shop Apprentice Responsibilities :

As an Body Shop Apprentice you will be responsible for doing your part in training to learn how to work as a metal technician.

Stay up to date on the latest repair methods and techniques for the vehicles sold and serviced by the dealership

Perform all metal repairs according to estimate

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy

Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required

Advise Body Shop Manager if additional work is needed

Operate all equipment in Body Shop in a safe and productive manner

Maintain his stall in an orderly and clean manner

Use discretion in using company materials and supplies

Ensure customer’s cars are kept clean

Document all work performed as soon as the job is completed

Qualifications :

Prior experience in trade work preferred.

Interest in the automotive industry as a career.

Ready to learn and work with metal / automotive framework

A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Physical Demands : Standing, walking over 2 / 3 of the time, sitting to 1 / 3 of time, kneeling / crouching to 2 / 3 of time, reaching with hands and arms to 2 / 3 of time, talking or hearing over 2 / 3 of time, driving vehicle to 1 / 3 of time, move, transport or place up to 2 / 3 of time up to 50 pounds.

High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required. Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence necessary for select roles.
