ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Preparation of food for daily menus and catering.
Set up serving lines and serve food to students, staff, parents and guests.

• Comply with food and health safety requirements as governed by federal and state laws and regulations
• Greet and interact with customers in a respectful and prompt manner
• Operate commercial kitchen and cafeteria equipment, i.e. dishwasher, mixers, etc.
• Clean and sanitize: work areas, equipment, and counter/table surfaces
• Daily cleaning of kitchen space to include sweeping and mopping floors
• Follow proper restocking procedures and monitor expiration dates to ensure the highest quality foods
• Contribute to the efficient operation of the Food Service Department and the goals of the District
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Food and Sanitation Certifications will be required within the first year of employment
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Ability to pass criminal background check

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Safety training is provided by School District
• Medium work: Employee is required to stand, walk, bend, sit, lift and move objects.

POSITION DETAILS

• Hours are 5.5 hours per day during school days
• Additional training time as needed
• Schedule may be adjusted on days with late start or early exit from school
