LISA Academy is Hiring an Assistant Principal at LISA Hybrid Near Little Rock, AR
This position entails working full-time, Monday through Friday, at the LISA Hybrid Little Rock campus. While primarily based in Little Rock, regularly travel to NW Arkansas. Additional information regarding this aspect will be provided during the interview process. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
Two years exemplary teaching experience.
Thorough knowledge of curriculum, district policies and procedures.
Master’s degree from accredited college or university is preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with development and implementation of the master schedule and student schedules.
Analyze and assess past school performance in order to plan for new programs.
Assist with evaluation of instructional staff
Implement and review data related to common assessments such as district assessments and NWEA MAP
Remain abreast of current curriculum trends, instructional strategies, practices, developments, instructional materials and related governmental procedures and guidelines.
Work collaboratively with parents, school, and community committees on all school related matters.
Assist in the selection of school personnel.
Coordinate with district personnel, parents and staff planning for an orderly opening of school.
Plan activities for Staff Development.
Develop and implement teacher orientations.
Participate in workshops, in-services, and other administrative staff development activities.
Plan, coordinate and follow up school academic teams/competitions.
Lesson plans, Curriculum/scope and sequence follow up.
Oversee PBLs and other projects.
Coordinate academic software programs such as ALEKS, ConnectED, Stem Scopes, i-Ready, ALEKS, MobyMax, Newsela, etc.
Coordinate school Concurrent credit, and Advanced Placement programs.
Meet mentor Dean of Academics regularly (if new to the position)
