Lirios Pediatrics is Hiring a Bilingual Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LPC. LMFT) Near Austin, TX

This is a full-time on-site role located in Austin, TX for a Bilingual Mental Health Counselor at Lirios Pediatrics. The Bilingual Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for providing counseling services to children in a clinical setting. They will conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to address the emotional and behavioral needs of clients. The Bilingual Mental Health Counselor will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and provide support to clients and their families based on evaluation of social determinants of health.

This is an opportunity to work in a team-based model of care, embedded in a pediatric clinic that exclusively serves uninsured kids. You would have the unique opportunity to play a key role in program development, working in a revolutionary model of care that establishes a benchmark for other healthcare organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat pediatric patients for mental health needs
  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
  • Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate
  • Plan outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities
  • Screen families for social determinants of heath and assist with referrals for services

Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Mental Health Counselor
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Strong clinical assessment and counseling skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
