Summary:

The operations analyst is responsible for the development, review, and analysis of LSP Transport overall fleet and terminal operations data including evaluation and management of projects, creation and management of metrics, and other appropriate activities in support of continuous improvement initiatives. Documents, maintains, and improves business processes to maintain and establish sustainable operational reliability and resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leveraging and joining different data sources to provide insight into transactional data, asset maintenance, operational effectiveness and productivity, safety, and reliability.
  • Design, enhance and maintain LSP Trasport metrics dashboard in alignment with LSPI’s Supply Chain metrics.
  • Collaborates with customer facing teams, finance, IT and other functions to identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • Assist in the management and creation of LSP Transport’s annual budget in collaboration with the Operations Planning Manager. Develop and publish monthly metrics on budget versus actual results.
  • Understands the direct to customer and intercompany delivery processes and conducts analysis to measure planning accuracy and effectiveness. Measures the impact and value gain to the planning process through sustainable KPI’s.
  • Supports Operations Planning Manager, Terminal Operations Manager and Maintenance Fleet Manager by providing asset utilization and distribution analysis recommendations.
  • Promote continuous improvement methodology and techniques across the organization by leading the documentation and improvement of business processes across all LSP Transport functions.
  • Leads the adoption of KPI’s across LSP Transport.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and Power BI or related programs
  • Proficient in managing and visualizing large data set.
  • Proficient in data entry and data management
  • Safety conscience
  • Detailed oriented

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, data analytics or related area

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • 2 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of DOT HOS & HAZMAT rules and regulations
