General Summary

The Surplus Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing assets for auction.

Responsibilities

• Receive / Sort / Process / Lot all inbound customer assets.
• Assists customers with unloading & loading of assets.
• Verify that received assets are assigned to the correct consignors / customers.
• Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area and properly performs assigned tasks.
• Operate forklifts (if certified).
• Maintains a clean driving record in order to operate facility box truck.
• Actively participates in Safety Program activities.
• Other auction yard duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience :

• High School Diploma / GED required
• 2 years warehouse experience preferred

Skills

• Certified to drive forklifts (if applicable).
• Superior attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and customer communication skills.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills; detail-orientated with strong follow through skills.

• Familiar with and capable of operating standard office equipment (photocopier, personal computer, adding machine, stapler, 3-hole punch, etc.

Work Conditions / Physical Demands :

• Must be able to work in a typical indoor / outdoor commercial yard environment all year round in Tucson, AZ.
• Some lifting (up to 50 pounds) may be required.

• Work location : Sierra Auction - 3911 N Hwy Dr, Tucson, AZ 85705
• Candidate must be able to work 7 : 30 am -4 pm M-F schedule.
